INTERNATIONAL MEGA SUMMER WORKCAMP

 

AUGUST and SEPTEMBER 2007

 

NAKURU, KENYA

 

Nakuru is a town in the Riftvalley, near the Lake Nakuru National Park. Here, in the rural area we work towards the empowerment of local women’s groups and help them build water tanks, poultry houses, recreational facilities for children and rehabilitate run down community structures.

During our international workcamps, that run for a period of 3 weeks, the volunteers are hosted by the local community and take active part to the everyday life.

 

During the months of August and September DVA will concentrate on three specific groups that require a lot of input and energy to complete wholesome projects for each of them.

WORK: construction of water tanks, /teaching in a nearby schools, visiting of orphanages and doing community service.

X: possible visit to Lake Nakuru National park, Lake Naivasha and the famous  Maasai Mara
